class times & days

Fall classes begin on the Tuesday after Labor Day. Classes conclude at the end of May. You may drop students off fifteen minutes prior to the start of the class, but please not earlier. Please pick up students promptly after class. If you miss a lesson, you are welcome to make it up. Please ask your instructor for your make-up time. Front desk hours are Monday – Thursday, 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm. 

PARKING

Parking is available in the parking lot between 9th and 10th Avenue. Be sure not to park in no parking zones or in front of Regal Plastics' docks. In addition, you are welcome to park along both sides of 9th Avenue. 

DANCE ATTIRE

For our recital combination classes, students should wear proper dance attire in any color (leotards, tops, shorts, pants.) Dancers will need ballet or jazz shoes (depending on the class) and tap shoes. Instructors will give exact instructions on the shoes needed for recital. For all classes, female students should have their hair pulled back out of her face and be free of distracting jewelry.  There are "borrow baskets" in the lobby for trial classes.


For ballet/pointe technique classes, students must wear a black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes and hair in a bun. For all other technique classes, dancers should wear a dance top or leotard with shorts over it.


Priscilla & Dana’s hosts an annual sale of new and gently used shoes, dance attire and costumes in early September.  This is a great way to get all your dance essentials at fantastic prices!

class RULES

Students are expected to attend all classes. Frequent absences hold back other students in the class. If you miss a lesson, you are welcome and encouraged to make it up. Please ask your instructor for your make-up class. We reserve the right to dismiss any student whose attendance, attitude or conduct is found unsatisfactory.  Children not in class (siblings, etc) need to be under parental supervision at all times.

FOOD & DRINK

You may bring water to class. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase in the main lobby.

LOST & FOUND

Please put your name on all belongings. Items left at the studio will be put in Lost & Found, which is in the corner near the snack tables. Please check for lost belongings frequently, as it is cleaned out at the end of each month. Leftover items are donated to charity.

RECITAL & COSTUMES

All recital COMBINATION classes are featured in the annual recital in early June.  Due to the cost of producing a recital, there is a $65 non-refundable recital fee per family due by October 30. 


If you are in a recital combination class, the cost for recital costumes is $70 per child. If dancers are in more than one recital class per week, please make a costume payment for each class. All costume fees are non-refundable and due by October 30. 

FATHER DAUGHTER RECITAL DANCE

All dancers 6 & over are invited to participate in the annual Father-Daughter recital routine. Watch for details in May!

HOLIDAYS

There will be no classes on the following days: October 31, November 24-25, December 22–January 2, March 14-18, May 30 (Memorial Day). We do have classes on “Monday” holidays such as MLK Day, President’s Day.

INCLEMENT WEATHER CANCELLATIONS

Classes will not be in session when the North Kansas City School District is dismissed due to inclement weather. This includes early dismissal due to weather conditions. If you aren’t sure if classes are in session due to weather please check our website, your email and our Facebook pages for the latest information.

EMAIL DISTRIBUTION LISTS

We will automatically add the email address you listed on your online enrollment form to the P&D distribution list. If you’d like an additional address added, or to make changes, please update your profile on the portal.
